Growing up, lemon meringue pie was one of my go-to desserts. I wanted to take that nostalgic flavour I knew and loved and turn it into a show-stopping, multi-layer cake. It’s a playful twist on an old favourite, with all the gooey tartness of lemon curd and the crisp sweetness of meringue, with layers and layers of zesty lemon sponge.

The Lemon Meringue Pie Cake is meant to feel like a burst of sunshine. It’s bright, zesty, and just the thing to lift your spirits—whether you’re celebrating something big or simply indulging on a quiet afternoon. This cake is all about bringing warmth and brightness to your table.

The marbled lemon curd Swiss meringue buttercream swirls with tartness and creaminess, feeling luxurious but never overwhelming. Lemon Sponge: Wheat flour (gluten), eggs, milk, buttermilk (milk), vegetable oil (sunflower, rapeseed), sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, Lemon extract, colouring Yellow (glycerol E422, propylene glycol E551, colours E104 & E110).

Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt.

Lemon Curd: Sugar, Pasteurised Egg (22%), Concentrated Lemon Juice (Sulphites) (8%), Butter (Milk) (8%), Water, Gelling Agent (Agar), Salt, Lemon Oil.

Meringue: Sugar, Pasteurised Egg White.

Shortbread: Wheat Flour [Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin], Butter (Milk) (33%), Sugar, Cornflour, Salt.

Shelf-life: Our cakes at Anges de Sucre are baked fresh, with a 5-day shelf life. Note: some elements like doughnuts may have a shorter freshness period.

Storage: To maintain freshness, wrap the box in cling-film and store the cake in the fridge if not serving the same day. Read more about storage and shelf-life

Serving: Allow the cake to reach room temperature before serving, usually taking about 3 hours. Serving it directly from the fridge may result in a harder texture and less pronounced flavours.

To preserve our signature design and flavour, we currently offer customisation limited to personalised messages on the cake board. For bespoke requests, please get in touch.

We can accommodate vegan,
gluten-free, or nut-free requests by getting in touch.

Store the cake in a cool, dry place. If the ambient temperature is warm, cover the box in clingfilm, refrigerate
it and bring it to room temperature at least one hour before serving.
