This cake was inspired by the classic British dessert, Eton Mess. I wanted to take all the best parts—the bits that I love about the treat: the strawberries, the meringue, the creaminess—and turn it into a cake that’s just as fun to eat as the original, but less of a mess.

The Eton Mess Cake is joy on a cake board. It’s light, fruity, and deliciously textured—each bite giving you a taste of that classic combination of strawberries and cream, with a light crunch of meringue. The cake brings a smile to your face and everyone else's.

Strawberry Sponge: Wheat flour (gluten), eggs, milk, buttermilk (milk), sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, strawberries, freeze-dried strawberries, colouring Pink (Glycerol, Propylene, Glycol, E551, Food Colour: E104, E155, E129).

Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt.

Decorations

Strawberry Sauce: Invert Sugar Syrup, Concentrated Strawberry Juice, Colour: Anthocyanins, Acid: Citric Acid, Natural Flavouring.

Meringue: Sugar, Pasteurised Egg White.

Freeze-dried strawberries

*Although not necessarily present in this particular product, the colours used across our range of products may include the colours E102*, E104, E110, E122 & E129 - which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in some children. All products are produced on premises handling eggs, gluten, nuts, peanuts, milk, sesame and soya hence may contain traces. Please note cakes may contain cocktail sticks and dowelling for support.

Each cake is hand-made individually and carefully and while will look similar to the images, may not be identical.

Shelf-life: Our cakes at Anges de Sucre are baked fresh, with a 5-day shelf life. Note: some elements like doughnuts may have a shorter freshness period.

Storage: To maintain freshness, wrap the box in cling-film and store the cake in the fridge if not serving the same day. Read more about storage and shelf-life

Serving: Allow the cake to reach room temperature before serving, usually taking about 3 hours. Serving it directly from the fridge may result in a harder texture and less pronounced flavours.

To preserve our signature design and flavour, we currently offer customisation limited to personalised messages on the cake board. For bespoke requests, please get in touch.

We can accommodate vegan,
gluten-free, or nut-free requests by getting in touch.

Store the cake in a cool, dry place. If the ambient temperature is warm, cover the box in clingfilm, refrigerate
it and bring it to room temperature at least one hour before serving.
