I'll be the first to say I was NOT convinced by the viral Dubai chocolate aka kunafa chocolate - a chocolate bar stuffed with kataifi pastry mixed with pistachio cream. Until I had a bar. And it changed my world. Crunchy, gooey, slightly savoury, pistachio-ey. It's a mind-blowing combination of taste and texture.

A slice of the Dubai Chocolate Kunafa Cake is that, and more. Layers upon layers of soft and moist pistachio sponge with gooey and crunchy pistachio kunafa and silky chocolate buttercream will have you going back till the last crumb.

This cake is a beast. It's HENCH. And it's the best tasting cake we have ever made.

Perfect for birthdays and celebrations where a statement cake and dessert is required. Each slice is a hunk of a serving!

Vanilla Sponge: Wheat flour (gluten), eggs, milk, sunflower/vegetable oil, buttermilk (milk), sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract

Pistachio Sponge: Wheat flour (gluten), eggs, milk, sunflower/vegetable oil, buttermilk (milk), sugar, pistachio (nuts), baking powder, vanilla extract

Chocolate Sponge: Self raising flour (wheat/gluten), bicarbonate of soda, sugar, eggs, milk, sunflower oil, cocoa powder, coffee, golden syrup.

Buttercream: Sugar, egg white, butter (milk), vanilla extract, salt, cocoa.

Pistachio cream:  Pistachio (nuts), sugar, milk powder, milk whey powder, non hydrogenated vegetable fats (sunflower seed oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter), extra virgin olive oil, emulsifier: soy lecithin, flavourings.

Kataifi pastry: Wheat flour, water, salt, butter (milk).

*Although not necessarily present in this particular product, the colours used across our range of products may include the colours E102*, E104, E110, E122 & E129 - which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in some children. All products are produced on premises handling eggs, gluten, nuts, peanuts, milk, sesame and soya hence may contain traces. Each cake is hand-made individually and carefully and while will look similar to the images, may not be identical. 

Shelf-life: Our cakes at Anges de Sucre are baked fresh, with a 5-day shelf life. Note: some elements like doughnuts may have a shorter freshness period.

Storage: To maintain freshness, wrap the box in cling-film and store the cake in the fridge if not serving the same day. Read more about storage and shelf-life

Serving: Allow the cake to reach room temperature before serving, usually taking about 3 hours. Serving it directly from the fridge may result in a harder texture and less pronounced flavours.

To preserve our signature design and flavour, we currently offer customisation limited to personalised messages on the cake board. For bespoke requests, please get in touch.

We can accommodate vegan,

Store the cake in a cool, dry place. If the ambient temperature is warm, cover the box in clingfilm, refrigerate
it and bring it to room temperature at least one hour before serving.
